Compliance
Made Simple.
CertFlow is the UK’s dedicated platform for fire extinguisher inspections, fire door checks, emergency lighting tests, fire alarm service records and complete fire safety asset management — built by engineers, for engineers.
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, every Responsible Person must maintain all fire safety equipment in an efficient state and good repair, carry out fire risk assessments, and keep written records. Non-compliance can result in unlimited fines, imprisonment and prohibition notices.
What is the RRO? →Regulation Guide
What is the RRO 2005 and What Does It Require?
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO) is the principal fire safety law in England and Wales for non-domestic premises. Enforced by local Fire and Rescue Authorities, it places clear duties on the Responsible Person — typically the employer, building owner or managing agent — to manage and maintain fire safety across their premises.
The RRO requires that a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment is carried out and reviewed regularly, that all fire safety equipment is maintained in efficient working order, and that all maintenance activities are recorded and available for inspection. Strengthened by the Fire Safety Act 2021, requirements are particularly stringent for higher-risk residential and mixed-use buildings.
For fire safety inspection and servicing companies managing multiple clients across dozens of sites, keeping on top of every asset’s compliance status is a significant operational challenge. CertFlow solves it — bringing every inspection, certificate, asset and client into one simple digital system.
