The examination workflow

From due date to certificate, one system.

Every asset, on its cycle

Cranes, hoists, chains, slings, shackles, eyebolts and accessories, each on its 6 or 12-month thorough examination interval under LOLER 1998, or the inspection regime you set under PUWER 1998, by client, site and safe working load.

Examinations that schedule themselves

Recurring schedules generate the work before it falls due. Your competent persons see their day on the mobile app; nothing waits on a spreadsheet being opened in time.

The Report of Thorough Examination, done on site

Defects, observations, timescales and particulars captured against Schedule 1 of LOLER 1998, signed on glass, issued as a branded PDF before the engineer leaves site.

Defects your clients see immediately

Equipment marked unsafe to use is flagged straight to the client through the portal, with the audit trail to prove when they were told.

Customers

What lifting engineers say.

We were running two sets of compliance records, one for the lifting side and one for height safety. CertFlow put both in one place. Six months in, certificates go out the moment a job is done, nothing slips past its due date, and an audit is a quick export rather than a day lost in folders.
Rob Muir Managing Director, Hoists and Cranes UK Ltd
CertFlow has put every lifting asset and every examination date in one place. Our engineers complete reports on site, defects are flagged straight to the client, and nothing slips past its due date. It is the first system that actually fits how a lifting inspection business works.
Arran Senior Managing Director, CraneCert
We used to live in fear of an examination date slipping through a spreadsheet. Now every asset and every date is in one place, reports go out the day we finish, and our clients can see exactly where they stand. It just fits how we work.
Andy Smith Director, Smith Cranes
Running examinations and maintenance from two different systems was holding us back. CertFlow put both in one place, against the same asset, with the same reminders. Our scheduling is calmer and our reporting is instant.
Mark McLure Director, Certify-NI
Because we build, supply and install, our records used to start again at every stage. CertFlow gives each item one record that follows it the whole way, so installation, handover and examination are all in one place. Our handovers are faster and far more professional.
David Jarvis Director, T-Allen

And when the work grows

The other thirteen disciplines are already included.

Plenty of lifting firms pick up PUWER inspections, work-at-height kit, pressure systems or electrical work over time. Every CertFlow subscription already covers all fourteen disciplines, on the same register, at no extra cost, so saying yes to that work never means buying another system.

FAQ

What lifting firms ask first.

Does CertFlow produce the LOLER Report of Thorough Examination?

Yes. The report is generated from the completed examination, covering the particulars required by Schedule 1 of LOLER 1998, including defects, observations and timescales, and issued as a branded PDF.

Can it handle both LOLER thorough examinations and PUWER inspections?

Yes. Each asset can carry both regimes: thorough examinations under LOLER 1998 and inspection intervals under PUWER 1998, with separate schedules, history and certificates against the same asset record.

How do 6-month and 12-month cycles work?

You set the interval per asset or per category: 6 months for lifting accessories and equipment lifting persons, 12 months for other lifting equipment, or the scheme of examination your competent person specifies. CertFlow generates the jobs and warns you before anything falls due.

We also do other inspection work. Is that extra?

No. Every CertFlow subscription includes all fourteen disciplines, so PUWER, electrical, pressure, fire and the rest are already there when you want them, on the same assets and the same register.
